Archive of Truth in Exile: Danish policeman's violations protected by law
Facing this attack of one of two policemen inside my home, through every action of the policeman, my memory was opened back to the same acts of the Nazi police. Those images ran through my mind as the violence unfolded inside my home.
In the first hearing, I spoke these words, describing the moment as if everything was unfolding in a movie scene from the colonization era.
What I said was not simply a comparison.... it was a testimony of continuity, of how state violence revives the darkest memories of history. These words I spoke must have created an effect. I was aware of that.
But I also wanted to be honest about my feelings while witnessing aggressive violations to law and order in a country I believed would never allow cruel acts and privacy violations like these.
A policeman has no reason, whatever it may be, to step inside a home, as long as I had not a pistol or a cannon.
If real danger against him were present, he could simply retreat to where he came from, instead of stepping inside a home and violating its privacy for any reason, especially when there was no reason at all.
In the first hearing, that policeman established a false reason, while lying, and the court believed him without any examination of the testimonies presented.
Through this first hearing, one that aligned itself with the lying policeman, the court sent a clear message to all: No one can challenge anyone who represents authority.
But they were wrong. The truth will continue to spread. The innocents will listen and raise their voices. And the public… the real public, who do not enslave themselves to official narratives, will recognize facts over the falsehoods of justice.
