Archive of Truth in Exile: Before the appeal: the eviction steps & the retreat of advocates made the structure of injustice visible... Series 4, Episode 14
Until episode 13 in series 4, the whole injustice narrative revolves around the eviction case and how it is developed from an unjustifiable verdict issued without cross‑examination, a verdict that was not final because it had been appealed.
Despite this legal fact, the housing company continued to act on it, pushing for eviction through what is called the “court of bailiffs”. This institution works with judicial officers who are exclusively authorized to serve defendants with lawsuits, notifications, warnings, arrest orders, summons, precautionary measures, and other enforcement tasks.
This story should be tracked from the time I filed the appeal, when the appeal was sent and the efforts I made to secure legal representation for the appeal court. The advocates I contacted with the help of my daughter, who’s a Danish citizen revealed more about how the justice system functions here.
The advocates I talked with to represent me in the appeal court provided me with more information that makes me I am living in liberinth or maze.
The advocates stories before the eviction case - concerning the appeal
When I sought an advocate for the appeal court, I immediately encountered resistance...
The first lawyer, a former judge, stated clearly that she could not take the case because it involved the police. According to her, the police are always considered right in Danish courts.
This single statement confirmed what I had been saying for years: injustice is not accidental here... it is designed. When a former judge openly admits that the police are automatically believed, the system reveals its architecture.
The second attorney I contacted said this would be a very difficult case and she would not risk becoming involved in it. Well, this is another confirmation: additional indication of how the Danish justice system work and it was strongly pointing to the fact that the courts are designed to believe on whatever policemen say, even when they lie.
And the court does not even attempt to perform cross-examination, which also proves another point of injustice. In legal terms, this means the word of a policeman is treated as unquestionable, which is a direct violation of any principle of justice.
It indicates clearly that the word of a policeman doesn’t require cross examination, which also confirms that such kind of justice is not justice at all.
The third attorney said that she couldn’t take my case for a reason she didn’t explain, but she will refer me to a good lawyer who has reputation to take the case. While later I guessed that she might be involved in my case.
She forwarded my email to the lawyer she recommended without my consent. I was surprised because beyond her simple desire to assist through this, I knew such forwarding is not legally required, before asking me first. This indicated to me that there is something some people do not know (maybe) about such serious matter of privacy.
I emailed her back, telling she should not have forwarded my email to another advocate before I say so. She appologized, and I thanked her... but the damage was done.
This improper forwarding of my email proved to me that something was happening behind the scenes in the complete process of contacting lawyers. I have this sense that these advocates appear to operate together, as a network, unless proven otherwise.
I then started to contact the lawyer whom she has introduced to me. He expressed his willingness to take the case in front of the appeal court. We began to communicate. I I sent him a message introducing my self and told him that his colleague (.....) recommended him to me. There are so many people across borders who live in such bad circumstances. Some are imprisoned without adequate legal reasons, some are killed, some are deported, and some are seeking refuge.
