Help Denied After Eviction

This is a breakdown of the tactics a municipality uses to block help required by law and regulations.
It is the personal lived story, followed by the analyses in the coming soon episode.
The Archive of Truth in Exile doesn’t sleep. It fights injustice in any shape.
When an eviction is handled by the bailiffs’ court, the municipality is legally required to assist the tenant — to help find temporary housing and, when necessary, cover the deposit if the tenant cannot afford it. That is what the law says.
When the municipality received the notification that the housing company intended to proceed to the bailiffs’ court to execute an eviction, I received a message from a municipal care worker informing me that I had the right to receive help in such a situation.
And here begins the manipulation... the deliberate effort to deny me the help I was entitled to by law.
The care official sent a letter that was dated two days earlier than the day it was actually mailed. It arrived in my mailbox on a Friday, but it was clearly written on last Friday and only sent the following Tuesday. The letter stated that I had five days to respond. This is a tactic used by many authorities and even private companies: shorten the response window so the client loses their rights or is forced into additional payments.
The letter included a telephone number for the municipal official. The number was connected to a robot. This alone creates difficulties for people who are not familiar with such systems, or who do not speak the local language perfectly.
I followed the robot’s instructions. I said the official’s name clearly. The robot did not understand me and repeated that it could not recognize what I said. I continued, entered my ID number, and waited. The robot then informed me of the queue number: I was number 43.
I repeated this process three times and received almost the same queue number each time.
So I went to the main municipality office in the city center to ask about the official and how I could meet her. I saw people with reserved appointments waiting for their numbers to be called.
At the reception desk sat an older municipal employee... the same man who once told me, regarding another matter, that I should go to a public café on a specific day to meet officials who could help people recover lost login information for municipal websites, banks, and other services. His suggestion was so illogical that it made me suspicious. How could officials responsible for sensitive identity issues meet people in a public café instead of inside the municipality itself?
Despite my doubts, I asked him about the official I needed to meet. He told me she worked in the municipal branch in my area.
I returned home and, while standing outside the branch office, I called the number again. I faced the same difficulties with the robot. I went to the door to ring the bell, but a guard stepped out and told me I could not enter without an appointment. I told him this was very bad... that it had never been like this before... and added that the system was changing in a harmful way. He did not respond.
When I told my daughter, she called from abroad and managed to reach someone who confirmed that the official would contact me. So my daughter was certain that the official indeed worked in the branch office in my area.
When I still heard nothing, I checked my phone and found three missed calls marked “No Caller ID.” I do not know why I did not hear the phone ring. I have long suspected that my phone may be cloned.
Frustrated, I took my smartphone - still open - and went directly to the branch office. The door opened, and I entered. Inside were two guards at their desks. This was not how the municipality looked years ago. I had not visited for a long time, and the change was striking.
I was thinking: in the past you could meet your “sagsbehandler” quickly and directly, but now citizens face barriers everywhere. I showed him the missed calls from “No Caller ID,” explaining that the official I mentioned her name had tried to reach me three times, but I had not heard the phone ring because of a technical problem.
The guard called the number printed on the letter. Then he called again. After that he said: “There is no official by that name working here.” I told him that the employee at the main municipality had said she worked in this branch. He called again and repeated: “She does not work here.”
I thanked him and left, feeling the intention behind all these obstacles... a deliberate attempt to exhaust me.
I went back to the main municipality to tell them what the branch office had told me. The old man was not there at first. I waited. Another employee passed by, took something from a machine, and walked away saying: wait a little, I’ll come to help you. Then the same old man I met before appeared. I told him the whole story. He took the letter, read the official’s name, checked his computer, and said: “She does not work here. She works in the branch office in your area.”
Now everything became clear. I understood exactly what was happening.
This was another example of denying rights... another form of retaliation for my strong criticism of the municipality.
